This year Primary 3, Primary 4, Primary 5 and Primary 7 will be participating in the Shared Education project with St Mary's Primary School.
We have lots of exciting plans! This term we will get to know each other using online platforms and hopefully in Term 2 we will be able to meet in person and complete activities together.
By working in partnership with schools of a different type to ours, our children have the chance to meet and learn with young people from a wide range of different backgrounds. Our teachers also have this opportunity and through the partnership get to promote good relations and work together to improve educational outcomes.
This is our fourth year participating in the project and we hope it will be the best yet!
Look at the photographs and videos below to see some of the exciting things we have been able to do the last few years.
2019/20
Primary three focused on STEAM and the topic 'The Seaside'. They enjoyed a visit from Scientific Sue who led a workshop on electricity. They used these skills to make a lighthouse with a working circuit.
Primary Four focused on the areas of Music, Art and P.E with their activities. They enjoyed an Ice-breaker day during which they played games to get to know each other.
Primary Five focused on STEAM and the topic 'Egyptians' during their activities. They enjoyed a visit from a team at W5 who presented a number of experiments. Pupils then had the opportunity to take part in a workshop.
