Welcome

Year 6 and 7 Residential Trips

A fun filled first day at Tollymore Centre.

Crawfordsburn Residential Day 2 - The children slept well last night and the great outdoors is giving them an appetite. We all enjoyed a lovely stroll to the beach this morning before beginning activities. The weather is dry which is making the activities more enjoyable today. The teachers are very proud of them all. They have a great ‘give it a go attitude’.

Year 6 Residential to Crawfordsburn

Day 1 - The weather hasn’t been kind to us today and our activities had to be amended accordingly. Nevertheless, the children have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They were treated to Rhys’ birthday cake 🎂 at supper time and are now in their rooms - almost ready for lights out!  The staff are hoping for a quiet night!

Day 1

Year 6 Castlewellan Residential Trip ( 1)

Year 6 pupils set out from school on Monday for their eagerly anticipated residential trip to Castlewellan Castle. After the allocation of rooms and getting settled in, the  children were split into groups for a  variety of activities led by the Mobile Adventure Team. They all had the  opportunity to take  part in archery, laser quest and canoeing. No one escaped getting a soaking out on the  lake, especially the  teachers!!

The weather was  kind throughout the trip and  after teatime we had a relaxed walk around the perimeter of the lake. On return to the Castle the  pupils were able to toast marshmallows over the  fire pit. The  evening was finished  off with a  trip to the onsite shop for some much needed ice cream, sweets and drinks and then a  movie in the cellars.

Castlewellan Trip: Day 2

After a good breakfast and a sound sleep ( Mmmm!?) the  pupils took part in a range of team games and activities designed to encourage team building. They had to help each other plot their way through a minefield, move a golf ball along some pieces of  guttering and deposit it in a bucket, use GPS to find and solve clues and take a range of different photos. These were really well organised and very enjoyable.

The trip was a great success and was really enjoyed by staff and pupils alike. The  pupils  were a  credit to their  families and school. Well done all.

We all had a fantastic time away! Our teachers even agreed we behaved like superstars!! ⭐️ 🌟

Day 3 - Dublin Zoo, we had a fantastic time seeing the animals! The sun stayed out all day too! ☀️ 🦁🐯🐒🐧🐺

Starting our final day off with birthday celebrations at breakfast for Sophia! 🥳 🎂

To finish off our second day, we got our competitive heads on and had a great round of bowling! 🎳💥

We had a very egg-citing time at Butler’s Chocolate factory!! 🍫 🥚

Day Two - we turned into Vikings and had a great time sharing our roars!!!

Finishing Day One with a lovely dinner, now off to the hotel, hopefully for some sleep! 🤥

We then treated ourselves to gifts from the gift shop and some ice cream! 🍦🤤

We definitely reached our step goal with our walk around Dublin, Halfpenny Bridge and Dublinia! 😴
