Volcano Watercolour Art in P7McC
P7McC have been using watercolours to create paintings inspired by volcanic eruptions. Pupils explored how to use colour blending to show lava flows , ash clouds ☁️, and dramatic skies . Pupils were inspired through a BBC documentary showing some of the world's most active volcanoes.
The results are amazing, with each painting capturing the explosive nature of volcanic eruptions .
It’s been a great way to combine geography ️ and creativity and the finished pieces will be well worth a look. Flick through our slide-show of P7 hard at work.
P7McC Autobiography Writing with Just2Easy ✍️
This term, P7McC have been using their Chromebooks and the Just2Easy platform to write their own autobiographies. The project has encouraged pupils to reflect on their personal journeys so far — from early memories and milestones to hobbies, achievements, and hopes for the future.
Working digitally has allowed pupils to draft, edit, and format their writing with confidence, while also developing their ICT skills. ️ It’s been great to see the individuality and creativity that each pupil has brought to their work.
The autobiographies are shaping up to be thoughtful, honest, and humorous pieces of writing.
