The Friends of Abercorn (FOA) play a vital role in supporting Abercorn Primary School and enriching the educational experiences of all pupils. Made up of dedicated parents, carers, staff and members of the school community, the FOA works tirelessly throughout the year to organise a wide range of fundraising events and activities.

From seasonal fairs and discos to raffles, sponsored events and family fun days, the FOA brings the school community together while raising valuable funds. These events not only provide enjoyable experiences for children and families but also generate much-needed income that helps the school purchase additional resources and equipment that may not be possible within the school budget.

The money raised by the FOA has a direct impact on pupils across the school. Funds are used to support the purchase of educational resources, playground equipment, technology, sports equipment and other learning materials that enhance children's experiences both in and out of the classroom. Every child benefits from the FOA's hard work, ensuring that opportunities for learning, play and personal development continue to grow.

The FOA's commitment, enthusiasm and generosity help make Abercorn Primary School an even better place to learn, play and thrive. Their continued support demonstrates the strength of the school community and the positive difference that can be achieved when families and staff work together for the benefit of all children.

The F.O.A. work tirelessly to fundraise throughout the year and provide the children with much needed additional resources as well as a lot of fun along the way.
On average the committee raises £10,000 every year!
They have provided literacy resources, numeracy resources, playground equipment,  and interactive whiteboards for some  classrooms over the past few years.
A wide range of events occur during the year e.g. film nights, discos, pantomimes, Christmas Fair, Summer Fete, Copper Kilometre and sponsored events.
