Welcome to Year 3 - Mrs Brown
Artwork associated with our topic of Fairytales.
Today we created pictures using lollipop sticks and matchsticks and identified the right angles with Multilink cubes and Dienes units.
We visited St. Mary's P.S. on 4th March to make lighthouses with our buddies. We used our knowledge about electricity to make them light.
We have been learning about the properties of 3D shapes and today we made some 3D shapes using cocktail sticks and midget gems.
On 26th February our buddies from St Mary's came to Abercorn for an electricity workshop with Science Sue. We had a great time and learnt such a lot.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our dinosaur topic this term.
We are all on Santa's nice list.
Didn't we look spooktacular!
Our P3 pupils were thrilled to find a little hedgehog in the school forest.
Today we enjoyed a visit from the PSNI. The pupils learnt about stranger danger and road safety. Thanks goes to the four officers who answered all our questions.
Marvellous Me challenges through activity based learning are being thoroughly enjoyed.
More activities were added today to enhance the children's skills and further develop their knowledge about themselves.
Our first topic is Marvellous Me. The children brought 4 items, in relation to themselves, into school in their All About Me bags. They used the items to talk about themselves to the class. We learnt a lot about each other.
