Christmas in Uganda
In Term 1 our topic was 'Life In Africa'. After learning about life there, some of the children suggested that it would be a nice idea to send some Christmas presents. Mrs Hanna had visited Uganda in July and came across a very poor family living in the bush with no running water, no electricity and living in very poor conditions. There was little hope of these children getting anything for Christmas BUT P6 changed this for them. :) With a facecloth, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, small toy, pencils, some other small items and a new outfit, P6 made Christmas a dream come true.
"Send out sincere thanks to everyone who did great work to make our kids happy and bringing hope to their minds"
Thank you to all who contributed to these presents. It was very much appreciated.
