📚World Book Day 📚
Our topic this term is the The Vikings. We have been enjoying this topic so far. Our first Art task was to draw and name a Viking. You can see these in the background on the pictures below. We think they look fabulous!
We then planned, designed and created very impressive longships. What do you think?
👨🏼🍳Toss a pancake, flip a pancake...👩🏼🍳
Pancake Tuesday wouldn't be the same if we didn't make pancakes in Y6.
We used this as an excuse to learn about the features of instructional writing. In the end, not only did we have pancakes but we also had our very own pancake recipes.
Christmas in Uganda
In Term 1 our topic was 'Life In Africa'. After learning about life there, some of the children suggested that it would be a nice idea to send some Christmas presents. Mrs Hanna had visited Uganda in July and came across a very poor family living in the bush with no running water, no electricity and living in very poor conditions. There was little hope of these children getting anything for Christmas BUT P6 changed this for them. :) With a facecloth, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, small toy, pencils, some other small items and a new outfit, P6 made Christmas a dream come true.
"Send out sincere thanks to everyone who did great work to make our kids happy and bringing hope to their minds"
