On Friday 18th May, Year 3 enjoyed a trip to the Aquarium. We had a lovely picnic lunch before seeing and feeling a lot of the different creatures.
Year 3 have been working on area.
As part or our People Who Help Us topic, P3 made a visit to Banbridge Fire Station. We met some firefighters who told us all about their job. We were given a tour of the station and shown the inside of a fire engine.
The pupils used basic 2D shapes to design houses. They added within 3 digit numbers (HTU) with exchange. They totalled the value of the houses and decided if they belonged to odd/even street.
The children have been learning about Tens and Units.
The class went looking for 3D shapes in the outside environment.
The two P3 classes recently went on a recent walk around Solitude. They had great fun using the five senses of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch.
